NC wins chairperson, UML vice-chairperson in Kamal rural municipality

Jhapa, 23 May (2022) - Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Hukum Singh Rai has registered his win to the post of chairperson in Kamal rural municipality of Jhapa. He secured 12,868 votes while his close contender CPN-UML's candidate Bhim Rai gathered 9,653 votes.

Newly-elected Singh was defeated to immediate past Chairperson of the rural municipality Menuka Kafle in the earlier round of local election on lottery basis.
