Government yet to fill teacher vacancies, even as decline in education quality is reported

Around 10 percent or 13,000 teacher positions are vacant as the Teachers Service Commission has not been able to announce vacancies for the last three years.

Several study reports prepared by the government suggest degradation in the quality of education at public schools over the years.
