Global COVID-19 cases near 46 million

KATHMANDU: The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has surpassed 45.9 million globally, with over 1.1 million fatalities and more than 29.8 million recoveries, according to the latest tally from Johns Hopkins University.

As of Sunday morning, the total caseload and death toll stood at 45,960,780 and 1,193,859, respectively, the University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed in its latest update.
