Inclusive Energy: Measures and Challenges in Nepal

In the present context, Gender equality and Social Inclusion in the energy sector is very weak. Firstly, the energy sector has flouted the constitutional provision of 33 percent reservation while government bodies are merely following what they are directed by the government. Inclusion in the energy sector has been neglected despite raising voices of inclusive participation in every sector. Thus, inclusive energy has become a major concern and topic to be dealt.
For Nepal, the gap in the inclusionis visible in the energy sector from employment to energy access. One of the parameter to measure the development of any country is its consumption of energy. Any country with higher energy consumption is an indicator of its development status. Energy consumption is bound to increase withrise in number of industries creating more employment opportunities at the local level.
