Municipality provides discount on kiosk rent

Kathmandu - Tanahu Byas Municipality has decided to provide discount of two months' rent for the kiosk runners in view of the lockdown imposed to contain COVID-19. With the lockdown, the shopkeepers and entrepreneurs have suffered much with the lockdown. The municipality discounted the rent for two months- Chait and Baisakh.

The executive meeting of the municipality held on Monday took this decision after it was requested by the shopkeepers that they incurred loss in business, according to Spokesperson Mohan Kumar Shrestha. The municipality has given in rent its new building and shutters at Damauli bazaar.
