Gokarneshwor Municipality feeding 750 destitute workers daily

Kathmandu - The Gokarneshwor Municipality in the north-east of Kathmandu district has been providing free meals to 750 economically vulnerable workers daily. Municipality spokesman Manoj Kumar Dhungana said they are feeding the needy people, most of them daily wage-earners, from the food grains and supplies collected from the donors.

"We distribute the food in packets from five places to avoid crowding to prevent coronavirus infection. The people are served at these places by maintaining physical distance," he said. The Municipality had distributed relief to the 10,500 workers and economically poor people in the second week of this month.
