Shops fined Rs 200 thousand for charging more for salt

Kathmandu - The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has fined the Katuwal Stores at Imadol Rs 200 thousand for selling salt to consumers for higher price than the declared price.

A market monitoring team from the Department had found the Stores was charging more to consumers for salt and slapped the fine on it as per the Consumer Protection Act, 2075.
