NCE Nepal urges government to promote distance education during lockdown

Kathmandu - National Campaign for Education (NCE) Nepal has called on all three tier governments to lay emphasis on promoting distance education through the employment of technology to teach the students during the lockdown.

The network of various organisations working for promoting education has urged the government to pay attention to enhancing the professional development of the teachers for this. It also called for an increment in the budget allocated to the education sector in the budget for the upcoming fiscal year taking into account the adverse situation brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, emphasising on enhancing the skills and efficiency of teachers working in geographically remote and economically deprived regions.
