Effect of cyclone Ampun: Light to moderate rain forecast

Kathmandu - Cloudy condition will prevail throughout the country today with chances of light to moderate rain in most places including the Kathmandu Valley due to the effect of the Ampun cyclone. The Meteorological Forecasting Division said influence of the cyclone that developed in the Bay of Bengal will remain for two days more as it has already made a landfall.

Meteorologist Meen Kumar Aryal said the weather will be completely cloudy in the eastern region of the country due to the indirect effect of the cyclone with the likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places of the eastern region and at one or two places of the central and western region.
