Kathmandu - The Ministry of Health and Population has urged all those who give their swab sample for Corona Virus testing to quarantine themselves until the report of the test arrives. This request comes after it came to be known that some people had been mixing themselves with others after giving their swab sample for testing, increasing the risk of infection. Likewise, responding to complaints about health workers including nurses and paramedics in government hospitals not wearing PPE, MoHP Spokesperson Dr Jageswar Gautam said all those concerned are requested to report at the Ministry's call centre (1115 and 1133) to get a PPE set for themselves.
In wake of the rising number of infection in the capital, Dr Gautam also urged all the primary contact-the people who have come close to an infected person, to give their swab sample for Corona Virus testing. "The swab sample however should be given within five to seven days of contact with an infected, otherwise there is risk of 'false negative' report in case the test is carried out soon after contact with a person who has tested positive in a PCR test," he said.
