COVID-19: Hometown of Saptari's youth sealed, Siraha speeds up safety measures

Kathmandu - The District Security Committee, Saptari has decided to seal off Hatailtole of Dakneshwori municipality-3 and its adjoining areas following the detection of a COVID-19 case here on Monday. Saptari's Superintendent of Police Krishna Prasai verified the decision to seal off the settlement. An 18-year-old youth from Hatailtole who had returned home from Chitwan on April 21 has been confirmed to have infected with the virus.
The youth along with other 12 had been quarantined at the Kantachandra Secondary School, Pato at Dakneshwori-3. Now he is under the isolation care at Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital. According to District Administration Office Saptari's information officer Ananda Thakur, his throat swab sample was collected on May 7, but he went home before the arrival of test report.
