Jhaputar-Chalise road obstructed

Kathmandu - The Jhaputar-Chalise road stretching from Rishing rural municiplaity-1, Jhaputar to its ward-6 in Tanahun has been obstructed for the past three weeks. Landslides triggered by incessant rainfalls since 13 July have blocked the road. Rishing-4 ward chair Bhojraj Ranabhat informed the landslides rolled down boulders and debris in five different points blocking the road traffic.

"Five big landslides occurred on the road beyond Jhaputar", he said, adding, "In some areas, the landslides have removed the structure and skeleton of the road". According to Ranabhat, landslide debris has been removed from most of the places and the rubbles are yet to be cleared off from one area.
