3 billion investment post-lockdown

Kathmandu - Investment worth almost Rs. 3 billion has been received from home and abroad in various industries in the past one month of the lockdown period. Four domestic and 11 foreign industries in the country got investment worth Rs. 2.74 billion in the past one month, according to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.

The Department of Industry approved foreign direct investment worth Rs. 927 million and Rs. 1.82 billion worth of domestic investment in 11 industries. The highest investment has been from China worth Rs. 727 million, according to the Ministry spokesperson Prakash Dahal. The investment was made in seven different industries.
