Immigration authorities consider changes in laws to check Nepalis leaving on visit visas to work abroad

Labour migration experts say while the proposed changes may have good intentions, requirements like English communication skill is not going to resolve the problem rooted in lack of jobs at home and dishonest recruitment agencies.

To stem the illegal flow of Nepali migrant workers to foreign countries on visit visas, the government has proposed some changes in its labour migration laws, which includes English language communication capacity for travellers.
