Writ filed at Supreme Court calling for release of inmates

Kathmandu - A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court calling for releasing as per the law the inmates given the chances of coronavirus infection in prisons due to overcrowding.

The writ was jointly filed on Tuesday by Gopal Shivakoti, Ram Sharma, Man Bahadur Rawat, Khim Bahadur Rana, Badri Kumar Thapa, Om Prakash Poudel and Prakash Ojha.
