By Bikram Giri, Kathmandu - The participation of Nepali leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane in Caribbean Premier League (CPL), a T20 cricket tournament in the West Indies, remains uncertain. Lamichhane needs to be in Trinidad and Tobago within a week to be a party of CPL 2020. However, his flight is uncertain as international flights remain closed and will resume only from August 17 as per the government's latest decision.
As a result, his participation in the CPL is not yet certain, his manager Raman Shiwakoti said. "Sandeep has to reach Trinidad and Tobago by August 1," he said. According to Shiwakoti, Sandeep could be a part of CPL if the government took the initiative to secure his travel to the West Indies. The Ministry of Youth and Sports well as the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation and other concerned government authorities are being requested for the same.
