Hundreds workers stranded on border between Dhading and Chitwan

Kathmandu - Many workers have been stranded at Mauwakhola on the border between Dhading and Chitwan districts as the authorities have stopped them from going to their respective destinations. These people had headed for their homes in various districts following the extension of the lockdown by the government to prevent COVID-19.

The workers, who were in various places of Dhading district in course of employment, wanted to go to their homes after stoppage of work and running out of food. More than 300 people were stopped by the police until Thursday afternoon since the morning. It is said most of them did not have anything to eat.
