Public health emergency act to come into effect with spike in COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: The Public Service Act 2075 BS is coming into effect after COVID-19 cases crossed 2,000 in the country. The cases have reached 2,099 after 288 new cases were identified in a single day today.

The Act comes into effect after the number reached as defined in the act. The standard in the act defines it as the level-2 effect of the epidemic after the infected cases reach 2000 to 5000.
