Quarantine facility in Kathmandu lacks basic facilities

Kathmandu - A quarantine facility at Jaharsinghpauwa in Shankharapur municipality in Kathmandu is devoid of basic facilities like electricity and decent accommodation, the facility users complained.

"There is no electricity for the past three days and we are finding it difficult to sleep for want of mosquito nets," said Ramesh Adhikari, who has been staying at the facility, adding that no health workers visited the facility to conduct health check-ups.
