Nepal and India make winning start

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 2: Nepal had a winning start in the CAVA Women’s Volleyball Nations League with a three-set victory over Sri Lanka. The Nepali team took full advantage of the home court with a 25-19, 25-18, and 25-19 triumph at the Dasarath Rangasala covered hall. They maintained their lead in the first and second sets, securing a 2-0 advantage. Although Sri Lanka took the lead at the start of the third set, Nepal fought back. Spurred on by home fans, they eventually won the set 25-19, earning three points. Aarati Subedi and Sumitra Regmi made their impressive debut for the national team.
