Inauguration of Blacktopped Road from Indian Border- Laxmipur-Balara to Gadhaiya in Sarlahi District

Birgunj, Nepal | The Blacktopped Road from Indian Border- Laxmipur-Balara to Gadhaiya in Sarlahi District built with the Government of India’s financial assistance of NRs. 44.48 Million was jointly inaugurated today by Shri Nitesh Kumar, Consul General of the Consulate General of India, Birgunj and Shri Binod Kumar Mauwar, Division Chief of Department of Roads, Road Division, Chandranigahpur.
The Government of India grant under ‘Nepal-Bharat Development Cooperation’ was utilized for the construction of Blacktopped Road. It has two packages viz. Package –I of 4.46 Kms from Indian Border-Laxmipur-Balara-Mirzapur and Package – II of 1.62 Kms from Mirzapur to Gadahiya Road/Hulaki Road. The project was taken up as a High Impact Community Development Project under an Agreement between the Government of India and the Government of Nepal.
