Krishna Bhir Landslide Blocks Prithvi Highway

Dhading. The landslide in Krishnabhir, caused by the Trishuli River eroding the land from its surface, has blocked the Mugling-Naubise section of the Prithvi Highway. The landslide in Krishnabhir has affected vehicles traveling to and from Kathmandu, Dhading, Chitwan, Tanahu, Kaski, and other districts of Western Nepal.

The landslide in Krishnabhir is not new. Around 2055/56 BS, landslides repeatedly occurred on this road, causing distress. In the late 2050s BS, landslides in Krishnabhir caused about two weeks of hardship for travelers.
