Oslo. A powerful explosion occurred at the US Embassy in Oslo, the capital of Norway, early Sunday morning. Officials stated that although the embassy building sustained minor damage from the blast, there were no casualties. Norwegian police have initiated a detailed investigation, with the initial assessment suggesting the incident could be a 'terrorist act'.

Speaking to Norway's public broadcaster NRK, Frode Larsen, head of the police's joint investigation and intelligence unit, said that based on the nature of the incident, it is being viewed in connection with terrorism. However, Larsen clarified that the police have not ruled out other potential causes and all avenues of investigation remain open.
