18-point agreement to pick up garbage in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: At midnight on Thursday, an 18-point agreement was reached to solve the Kathmandu Valley’s waste management problem. Sisdol Banchare Danda-Kudu has reached an 18-point agreement with the landfill site on waste management.

According to the agreement, the locals’ obstruction in garbage disposal will be removed starting today. Garbage disposal will now be done at night. Despite a tripartite agreement to allow garbage collection on June 6, residents in the affected areas were putting up roadblocks.
