Debate notes demanded from Supreme Court in writ against Bamdev Gautam

KATHMANDU, April 27: The bench has asked for debate notes in the writ filed saying that the decision to nominate Bamdev Gautam, who was defeated as a member of the House of Representatives, to the National Assembly in the same term is in conflict with the Constitution. On Wednesday, the constitutional bench ordered to demand debate notes in the writ against Bamdev Gautam.

Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi, Advocate Badriraj Bhatta and others filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court saying that the recommendation of the then KP Sharma Oli government to nominate Bamdev Gautam who was defeated from Bardia as a member of the National Assembly was against the constitution.
