Plans afoot for new law to deregulate petroleum business

Several attempts in this regard have failed for the last decade despite the sector being governed by a four-decade old law.

The government has once again gearing up to enact a new petroleum law as several attempts in the last decade to deregulate Nepal’s oil market have failed.
