Former Minister Gokul Baskota Warns of 'Grave Crisis' for Communist Movement If Not Corrected

Kathmandu. CPN-UML leader and former minister Gokul Baskota has warned that a grave crisis will emerge in the coming days if the Nepali communist movement and the rise and fall of the then Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) are not corrected.

Publishing his views on social media platform Facebook on Thursday, leader Baskota recalled that he had assessed the time for the 'climax' and 'collapse' of the CPN five years ago. He argued that although the merger of leftist parties generated unprecedented enthusiasm among the public, the unity could not last because the internal foundation was weak.
