Passport Distribution System May Face Temporary Disruption During Transition to New Platform

Kathmandu. The Department of Passports, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has announced that the passport distribution system may be suspended for a day or two in the interim period.

The department clarified that service could be interrupted for up to a week during the process of replacing the old system with a new one. In a notice, the department stated that passport services provided through District and Zonal Administration Offices and Nepali missions abroad might be suspended for one to three days. The notice mentioned that services provided directly by the Department of Passports could be interrupted for up to a week.
