Afghanistan War: Government Urges Nepali Workers to Return

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 13 – While various countries are recalling their citizens from Afghanistan, Nepal has said that it is not possible to recall Nepali citizens in the conflict-affected country immediately.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that it is studying the situation of Nepali nationals in Afghanistan through employer agencies and personal contacts. “We are closely monitoring the situation in Afghanistan. Appropriate decisions will have to be made in the event of a crisis for Nepalis there,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Seva Lamsal told the BBC .
