Trishuli-Bhotekoshi Flood Devastates Hydropower Projects, Billions in Damages

Kathmandu. On Wednesday, Bhadra 10, large rocks, mud, and debris surged down the Bhotekoshi in Rasuwa. The flood in the Bhotekoshi and lower Trishuli rivers has caused significant damage to life and property in Rasuwa and Nuwakot. Search and rescue operations are still ongoing in the flood-affected areas to this day.

Thousands of people are missing in the flood. More than 500 people trapped in the tunnels of hydropower projects have not been rescued.
