Nepali Congress Spokesperson Denies Formal Receipt of President Gagan Thapa's Resignation

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Spokesperson Devraj Chalise stated that the resignation of party President Gagan Thapa has not been formally received. Speaking with Ratopati, he mentioned that although there are rumors circulating that President Thapa has resigned, there is no formal information regarding his resignation.

According to the Nepali Congress statute, if the President needs to resign, the resignation must be submitted to the Vice President and subsequently presented to the Central Working Committee meeting. Attempts to contact Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma regarding President Thapa's resignation were unsuccessful.
