China's C919 jet obtains milestone airworthiness permit

The successful development of the C919, China's first homegrown large jetliner, will become a new engine driving the further progress of the Chinese aviation and high-end manufacturing industries, said Qian Zhongyan, executive deputy director of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC).
