Chair Prachanda calls on Maoist constituents to unite

Kathmandu, 13 February (2022) - Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Center) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has urged the Maoist constituents scattered in different groups to unite. Extending best wishes in a message on the occasion of the 27th People's War Day, he has called upon the constituents to unite to address the problems facing the country.
The present changes could be further strengthened and enriched if the forces fighting for change were united, he said in the message. "Celebrating People's War Day will hold meaning, significance and justification only if there is unity among the transformative revolutionary forces. The role of people's war has been of far-reaching importance in the history of Nepal, as it institutionalized federal democratic republic after the joint people's movement of 2062/63 BS which was completed on the basis of people's war. The drafting of a new constitution through the Constituent Assembly and the ensuring of a federal republican system of government as well as secular, inclusive and proportional representation in the country was also a contribution of the People's War. ”
