Pete Lau teases the launch of OnePlus 9RT in China

Pete Lau, the company's co-founder, foreshadowed the debut of the OnePlus 9RT in a post on Weibo. Surprisingly, the executive's teaser also plainly discloses the name of the future phone. According to previous rumours, the OnePlus 9RT would be released on October 15. As an update to the existing OnePlus 9R, the new phone is expected to debut in China.

The OnePlus 9RT is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and a 120Hz display. Pete Lau shared a brief history of the OnePlus T series on Weibo on Thursday, beginning with the introduction of the OnePlus 3T in 2016 and ending with the OnePlus 8T. He hinted that, unlike previous models, the firm will release a T series phone with a new name, which is most likely a reference to the OnePlus 9RT. The executive ends the teaser by stating that additional information will be released on Friday.
