Government Revises National Transport Policy After 25 Years

Kathmandu. The government has revised and implemented the National Transport Policy after about 25 years. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development has revised the policy and issued the 'National Transport Policy, 2083'.

The policy aims to build a sustainable, accessible, reachable, safe, green, and technology-friendly transport system through the development of an integrated transport system. According to the ministry, the new policy prioritizes the development of a modern and effective transport system by coordinating road, rail, waterway, and air transport.
