Nepali politics in the post-truth era: Why are the effective lasting longer?

Oxford Dictionary defines ‘post-truth’ (adjective) as ‘relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief’. It declared ‘post-truth’ as the word of the year in 2016 due to the frequency of its use in diverse debates. Now, it has arrived in Nepali politics too.
This phrase got its impetus after Donald Trump’s election as the president of the United States and after Brexit in the United Kingdom in 2016.
