CPN-UML Calls Emergency Meeting After Chairman KP Sharma Oli's Arrest; Announces Protests

Kathmandu. The CPN-UML has called an emergency meeting following the arrest of Chairman KP Sharma Oli. Secretary Mahesh Basnet informed that the Secretariat meeting is scheduled for 8:30 AM. He also stated that the meeting will announce protest programs.

“Not having political prisoners is considered an important indicator of democracy. Nepal was previously considered a good example of a country without political prisoners. But recent developments have increased concern about the country's political situation,” Basnet said.
