Kathmandu Metropolitan City erasing mural that honoured frontline pandemic workers invites ire

Four artists had painted it with permission from authorities. The highhandedness is another example of the City’s insensitivity to needs of citizens and its incompetence, observers say.

Ever since the pandemic began last year, the people most at risk of being infected with the coronavirus have been frontline health workers. Also at risk are security personnel who have been at the forefront of enforcing frequent lockdown orders.
