Nepal Eyes Dormant Bank Accounts Containing Nearly 18 Billion Rupees for State Treasury

Kathmandu. It has been found that nearly 18 billion rupees are held in accounts that have remained dormant for 10 years or more.

According to the Nepal Rastra Bank, there was 17.63 billion rupees in dormant accounts as of the end of last Ashar. The central bank stated that the number of such accounts stands at 3,645,593.
