Power supply to industries cut off due to reduced imports

Nepal's energy generation plunges during the dry season, and in order to cover the shortfall, the country has to import power from India.

Factories in the Birgunj-Pathlaiya industrial corridor clanked to a stop on Wednesday after the Nepal Electricity Authority switched off the power because of a drop in imports from India.
