Indefinite Traffic Halt Imposed on BP Highway Section Due to Increased Roshi River Flow

Kavrepalanchok. Indefinite traffic operation has been halted on the BP Highway starting this evening. The District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, stated that traffic operation has been stopped considering the risk to the highway after heavy rainfall in the Bhakunde-Nepalthok section of the highway this evening at 7:00 PM caused the water flow in the Roshi River to increase.

According to the office's Information Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bishwa, traffic operation has been stopped considering the risk of flooding in the Roshi River and its potential impact on the highway due to heavy rainfall currently occurring in the southern parts of the district, including Panauti, Namobuddha, Katunje, Mangaltar, and Kavrebhanjyang. Vehicles are currently being 'held' at the highway entry points of Kavrebhanjyang in Sindhuli and Nepalthok.
