England's Harry Brook and Jacob Bethell reprimanded over nightclub incident

England white-ball captain Harry Brook and all-rounder Jacob Bethell have been found guilty in connection with a nightclub incident that occurred during the tour of New Zealand prior to last year's Ashes series. The Cricket Regulator, which has been investigating the incident in Wellington, has issued a formal warning to both players for breaching the player code of conduct.

The controversy surfaced after Brook, who visited a nightclub on the night before the November 1 ODI match, was punched by a bouncer. The regulator clarified that while fast bowler Josh Tongue was also involved in the incident, no action will be taken against him. Tongue was not part of the ODI squad at the time but was training with the team in preparation for the Ashes.
