Postal Services to Remain Operational on Public Holidays in Nepal

Kathmandu. Postal services will now remain operational on public holidays, allowing citizens to send goods abroad and clear imported items.

Although the Dillibazar General Post Office previously provided services on public holidays, the lack of coordination with customs offices and banks often hindered the clearance process. Following complaints regarding these service disruptions, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology intervened. Under the direction of Minister Dr. Bikram Timilsina, the Department of Postal Services has initiated coordination with the Department of Customs to ensure seamless service delivery on holidays.
