Various Organizations Announce Support for Flood Victims

Kavre. Nine local levels in the district, various wards, social, cooperative and private organizations have announced a total of Rs 22,213,111 in aid for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the floods in the Bhote Koshi river. Earlier, seven local levels, various wards of the district, and social, cooperative and private organizations had announced relief amounts for the flood-affected. In the latest announcement, Namobuddha Municipality has decided to provide Rs 2,750,000, Bhumlú Rural Municipality Rs 3,000,000, Dhulikhel Chamber of Commerce Rs 101,000, Dhulikhel Drinking Water and Sanitation Committee Rs 105,000, and Sulav Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd. in Banepa Municipality-7 has decided to provide Rs 111,111. Namobuddha Municipality and Bhumlú Rural Municipality have decided to deposit these amounts in the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund. The President of the Dhulikhel Chamber of Commerce, Komalsunder Shrestha, informed that the chamber has decided to provide Rs 101,000 for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the Bhote Koshi floods.

Saptari: Saptari's Balanbihul Rural Municipality has provided Rs 1,525,540 in relief aid for the flood victims of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and Chitwan districts affected by the floods in the Rasuwa Bhote Koshi river. The amount was collected from the salaries and allowances of the rural municipality's representatives and employees, along with the rural municipality's contribution, and provided as relief aid. Khemchandra Yadav, the chairman of Balanbihul Rural Municipality, stated that the amount was provided by the rural municipality with the objective of assisting the affected families during times of disaster. He said, "We hope that the support provided by the rural municipality in this difficult situation will provide some relief to the citizens affected by the disaster." The rural municipality has urged all parties to cooperate in the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the victims, emphasizing the need for humanitarian aid and unity during times of disaster.
