UML candidate Mahato elected HoR member from Mahottari-1

Mahottari, Nov 27 : Laxmi Mahato of the CPN (UML) has been elected the Member of the House of Representatives from Mahottari electoral constituency no 1. As per the vote counting results concluded this morning, Mahato defeated his closest competitor Giriraj Mani Pokharel of the CPN (Maoist Centre) by 1,031 votes. The Office of the Election Officer, Mahottari said Mahato secured 24,401 votes and Pokharel 23,370.
