Heightening risk of scrub typhus in Baitadi

BAITADI, September 15: The risk of scrub typhus has increased in recent days in the district. The risk of the disease has increased after scrub typhus infection was found in people coming to the hospital and health facilities seeking treatment.

Scrub typhus has been detected in some patients coming to the District Hospital as well, Hospital's information officer Harish Panta said. He said the number of scrub typhus patients has increased in the district this year although it was detected sporadically last year.
