Flood Damages Four Houses and a Bridge in Gorkha

Gorkha. Floodwaters of the Therang River, flowing through wards 4 and 2 of the mountainous Chumanubri Rural Municipality in the district, have swept away four houses and a bridge. The District Police Office has stated that the flood, which occurred this morning, washed away the houses of Namrungkanurvu Ongyal (Nurvu Chhiring), Urgen Chhoiden, Lhakpa Bhuti, and Dorje Gyaljen in Chumanubri 4.

The office chief, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Shrestha, informed that there were no human casualties from the flood. He mentioned that locals fled to save their lives after learning about the flood. The office also stated that the flood swept away a suspension bridge in the same area.
