Nepal Zoological Society Concludes Tenth Annual General Assembly

Kathmandu. The tenth annual general assembly of the Nepal Zoological Society has concluded. Around 80 zoologists and professors from across the country participated in the assembly held on Saturday at the seminar hall of the Central Department of Zoology, Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur.

The assembly emphasized the need for the government to form a separate Zoology Department to institutionalize the study, research, and manpower development related to zoology in Nepal. Stating that the role of zoologists is crucial in the conservation, research, and management of wildlife and biodiversity, the government has been urged to connect zoology with research, innovation, and conservation.
