Department of Hydrology and Meteorology Issues Alert for Severe Weather Across Nepal

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued an advisory urging citizens to exercise caution as various parts of the country are expected to experience lightning, gusty winds, hail, rain, and snowfall on Wednesday.

Meteorologist Rojan Lamichhane of the Meteorological Forecasting Division stated that there is a possibility of heavy rain or snowfall in one or two locations. He noted that Nepal is currently under the influence of a western low-pressure system and local winds, which are expected to intensify starting tomorrow, and advised the public to plan activities according to the weather conditions.
