Coach Annese, Nepal look for redemption in hostile territories

Defeats against the UAE and Yemen have left underperforming Nepal at the bottom of Group H, endangering their hopes of progressing into the third round of the World Cup qualifiers and a direct entry to the Asian Cup.

Coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese will be aiming to turn around the fortunes of Nepal when they play a double header against Bahrain in the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers at the Bahrain National Stadium on Friday.
